Driven by the mission to “Educate, Engage, Inspire and Innovate,” the Advanced Engineering Studies building underscores the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ commitment to achieving Top Tier recognition for the College of Engineering. Connected to the existing Thomas T. Beam Engineering Complex, this location will help to redefine future expansion of the College and science research facilities; both student-focused on the mall, and research-focused on adjacent properties to the north.

To help recruit students and foster community, learning is put on display throughout the facility. A mix of highly visible maker spaces and showcase areas located on the ground level of the new building seamlessly connect the inside to the outside and highlight student programs within the College. The project includes several unique, flexible learning spaces, showcase videowalls, student collaboration and breakout space, and laboratories for research and demonstration.
